Erika Szumel | Photojournalist
Erika Szumel is a New Jersey-based photographer and creative. From working at her high school's television studio to taking film classes in college, she's been behind a camera her whole life. After a few years working in television production, Erika picked up a camera and started shooting both digital and film. She shoots everything—portraits, travel, day-to-day life. She's always finding beauty in the imperfections of her photos—the out-of-focus moments, the scratched rolls of film, the 'technical' flaws that make each image feel real. Now, she's combined her love of live music and photography and started shooting local shows in Asbury Park and Philly. When she's not at a show, she's planning a trip to see the world.
